Excursions from North Uist to the Islands of Harris, Lewis Mingulay and Barra

If during your holiday here on North Uist you want to venture further, the Isle of Harris and Lewis are a short ferry ride away where you can see the Callanish standing stones, Luskentyre sands , climb the hills of Harris and visit the world famous Harris Tweed centre. The beautiful island of Barra is also just a short ferry ride away from Uist and the only place in the world where you can watch scheduled aeroplanes landing on the beach, tide permitting.
