I couldn't believe it when I looked out of the window and saw this male sparrowhawk sheltering from the strong southerly wind in our garden. He was here long enough for me to find a camera and take a few shots through the living room window.
After about 5 minutes it lifted up into the wind and flew over my husband who was outside in the garden and oblivious to this hawk over his head. We guess the sparrowhawk was heading over the bay to catch his dinner.
