While sorting through the many photographs we took during last year we came across these images which we thought we would share with you.
Watching the sunset over St. Kilda from our garden was an almost daily event during the continuous fair weather of April during the first lockdown.
As we enjoyed views of Hirta and Boreray with exceptional clarity on 21st April 2020 at about 9 pm, we saw both islands increase in height and grow what looked like a hat. This phenomenon lasted about 30 minutes and gradually faded with the light.
All very strange!
